Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) predominantly affects the gastrointestinal system but it is associated with a large number of extraintestinal manifestations.
This study indicated that the early death of chichens with IBD is related to the microthrombosis in vital organs and the late death is mainly induced by diarrhoea-dehydration-hypovolemic shock.
I've used a phrase previously that I borrowed from somebody – that it takes a village to take care of IBD patients – and to me that village includes other patients.
And so for years what was the number one topic on the internet that wasn't able to be answered sufficiently in the IBD research arena… I would say that it was diet related.
