3.When we think back to this time, it's easy to just assume all women were like the iconic image of Rosie, the riveter, working hard to make supplies and machinery.
4.Riveters required 14 million rivets of different sizes, men known as cooks heated them up in a furnace till glowing red and ready to join and secure the structure.
5.As the bridge grew in size the furnaces remained on the ground, the red hot rivets were thrown up to a " catcher" who skillfully caught them in a bucket of ash ready to be picked up with tongs by a riveter.
6.And while the Riveter was created for women, company leaders point out that men are welcomed to and that about a quarter of Riveters members are men.
