One day Buddha sat in the Thunderclap Monastery in the Western Paradise. He was talking to his students.

有天，如来坐在西天雷音寺中和他的弟子交谈。

Buddha smiled at Wukong. " How did you get so powerful" ?

如来笑着对。" 你怎么能这么厉害？"

Buddha turned to the Jade Emperor.

如来转身对着玉帝。

After a long time, he landed on Buddha's palm again.

过了好长时间，他回到了如来的手掌里。

" I am Buddha, " said the figure. " Who are you, and why are you causing all this trouble" ?

" 我是如来佛祖。" 人，" 你是谁，为何惹出这些麻烦？"

" I'll write a note on this pillar. Buddha can come here and check" .

" 我就在这柱子上写句话吧！如来可以自己来确认。"

Buddha pulled a small sheet of magic paper from his sleeve. He laid the paper on top of the mountain.

如来从他的衣袖中拿出了咒，贴在了山顶上。

Tatagatha Buddha, the father Buddha said " With our thoughts, we make the world." Elemental forces caused the egg to hatch.

如来佛祖佛：“以我们的意念，我们创造世界。”元素力量使蛋孵化。

" There, " said Wukong. " Now I'll go and tell Buddha how far I jumped" .

" 好了！" ，" 现在我就回去告诉如来我跳了多远。"

" Buddha put me here, " said Wukong. " I am being punished for causing trouble in Heaven. Who are you" ?

" 如来佛祖把我压在这里。" ，" 因为我大闹天宫受了罚。你是谁？"

" We must ask Buddha for help, " he said. He turned to a messenger. " Go to the Western Paradise quickly. See if Buddha can come to help us" .

" 我们必须请如来佛祖来帮忙。" 他。他转向个信使：" 速去西天。看看如来佛祖能不能过来帮助我们。"

Buddha shook his head. " No, " he said. " A true believer—a monk—needs to come here to get them. Will anyone go to the east to find a worthy monk" ?

如来摇摇头。" 不可。" 他，" 需要真正的信徒来这里取回这些真经才可以。有人愿意去东土找位有资格来取经的僧人吗？"

" This must be the end of the world, " he said to himself. " I'll go back now and tell Buddha to take the Jade Emperor away. Heaven is mine" !

" 这定就是天边了。" 他对自己，" 我现在就回去告诉如来，让玉帝让位。这天庭是我的了！"

The Jade rabbit from the story was originally from a Buddhist legend where the rabbit sacrificed his own life, to feed a disguised Buddha, and was rewarded by being able to live on the moon.

故事中的玉兔最初来自佛教传，兔子牺牲了自己的生命，给伪装的如来佛祖喂食，得到奖赏能够在月球上生活。

" No, " said the woman. " They are with Buddha in the Western Paradise. Someone must travel to the Thunderclap Monastery to get them. But only a true believer may make the journey" .

" 没有。" 女子回答，" 真经在西天的如来手中。必须有人去雷音寺取得真经。只有真正的信徒才能完成西天之旅。"
