牛津的餐饮和住宿

If students do have to live out of the college, they can rent a house or flat in Oxford, usually renting with two to six other students.

They need to share the rent of their own bedroom, as well as a shared bathroom, living room and kitcken.

The average rent in a shared house is between350 and450 per month, except bills i. e. for water, gas, electronics, phone.

Moreover, the accommodation is required to rent for 12 months.

Living out can be a little more expensive than living in college, but it means they can stay on during the holidays.

The dining hall in the college usually provides three meals a day, seven days a week, and has a variety of ways of charging for food.

In some dining halls, students pay directly for what they eat, while in others, they pay a fixed charge per term to cover catering overheads, and are then charged solely for the food they eat.

College catering is run on a not-for-profit basis, and college caterers work hard to provide balanced meals to suit a wide variety of tastes and diets.

In addition to the accommodation and food costs that you must budget for, other costs should also be budgeted for, which include clothing, entertainment, books, communication (phone bills, broadband etc), stationery, special course equipment, medical expenses not covered by the National Health Service, local transport, and other personal requirements.

Furthermore, following costs are also necessary to be budgeted for, such as one-off costs at the start of your course (e. g. bicycle, computer), expenses relevant to your circumstances, travelling expenses to and from Oxford, British visa, as well as fluctuation in exchange rates.
