There are two categories of fees at Oxford: University tuition and college fees.

In addition, students should budget for various living costs, including accommodation, meals and other costs.

For the 2009-2010 academic year, i. e. 3 semesters 26 weeks, the average living cost for an undergraduate student at Oxford was in the range between6,800 and8,000, living in college accommodation.

Traditionally, undergraduate students must live in Oxford, and accommodations in Oxford are provided both by colleges and the University.

All colleges offer students accommodation for their first year and most for at least one further year, while some are able to provide accommodation for students' entire course.

Most college rooms are single bedrooms, and each room has its own bathroom and toilet.

Some colleges have 'sets' where two students share a study-living room, but they have their own bedroom.

All rooms are furnished, and if someone wishes to cook, he only needs to prepare kitchenware.

Students in college rooms usually have to move out at the end of each term, unless they pay for the holiday accommodation.

During holidays, the college may be able to provide luggage deposit service, particularly for overseas students.
