I'm Doctor Joseph Hughes, Professor of classical languages at Missouri State University and I am your instructor in this course.

Because this course, rise and fall of super powers, is delivered via CD ROM you will get to know me primarily as a disembodied voice coming out of your computer speakers for which I apologize.
