凯莉·克拉克森宣布离婚(2)

After a whirlwind romance, he got down on one knee 10 months later. Before him, Clarkson said after their engagement, she'd "never been loved properly by a man."

The couple exchanged vows in October 2013 with just his children Savannah, 18, and Seth, 13, as their wedding guests. Quickly expanding their family over the next few years, the couple kept roots in Nashville even as work took them around the country.

"Being a wife and a mom isn't something Kelly always thought was in the cards for her," says the source. "But after meeting Brandon, it's all she wanted."

After Clarkson landed her NBC daytime talk show last year, the family took a major leap, relocating to Los Angeles. "We ended up moving our whole family out here.

It was a big decision for us," the entertainer, who was also filming The Voice in L. A. , told People last August. While she was initially hesitant about having her own show, "my husband is a really good salesman on ideas,"

she said at the time about Blackstock, who began managing Clarkson's career after they wed. (Blackstock's father, Narvel, who was married to Reba McEntire for 26 years, previously managed Clarkson. )

"He's just really good at pointing out things that will push me out of my comfort zone, which is why we're really great partners in life as well." But sources say Clarkson's increasingly packed schedule was difficult to balance and put a strain on the marriage.

When production for both The Voice and The Kelly Clarkson Show shut down in March amid the coronavirus pandemic, the family headed to Montana.
