The goods yard was a busy area adjacent to  the coal drops where railway wagons were shunted and assembled into trains.

The exhibit consists of the station platform,   waiting rooms, signal box, good yards and coal drop that came from West Bolden highlighting the  importance of coal distribution from the mines.
