The electoral commission in Zimbabwe has started releasing results hours after President Robert Mugabe's ZANU-PF party said it had won an emphatic victory.
For example, after 6th century, German words starting with P, systematically shifted to a PF sound, while the Old English counterparts kept the P unchanged.
Mr Mugabe and his Zanu PF party are forging ahead without agreeing to any of the key security, media and electoral reforms demanded by regional mediators.
Among seemly power struggle is unfolding in Zimbabwe and the cracks are apearing in the governing ZANU-PF over who should succeed the 90 year old head of state.
Several of Zimbabwe's previous elections have been widely disputed, after widespread violence usually directed by ZANU PF at the opposition and accusations of the Electoral commission siding with the ruling party.
