The statue of Zeus at Olympia was created by an artist known as the finest sculptor of the ancient world in the 5th century BCE, Phidias, who also worked on the Parthenon and the statue of Athena in Athens.
Rishi Sunak was reported to be irritated by comments made on television by Mr Mitsotakis about the return to Greece of the Parthenon Sculptures that are currently housed in the British Museum.
Some archaeological sites have always been easily observable for example, the Parthenon in Athens, Greece; the pyramids of Giza in Egypt; and the megaliths of Stonehenge in southern England.
A top Greek archaeologist has denounced the British Museum saying it can no longer claim that Greek artifacts like the disputed Parthenon marbles, are safe in its care.
