Astronomers think it's a failed dwarf galaxy that lacked the requisite mass to produce stars.

You know, each time the universe, you know, generates a new structure or like an object that exists, generates a new structure along this causal chain, it's generating something that exists that never existed before.

I would be, again, having a normal dream, and then I would see several of these presences in the periphery of wherever the location of my dream was.

So would it be fair to say that one of your long-term interests has been the concept of veneration and memorialization of beings?

What happened to God, the disappearance of God, is a function of this misinterpretation of God as a being.

Man, as a physical being, is like other bodies governed by invariable laws. As an intelligent being, he incessantly transgresses the laws established by God, and changes those of his own instituting.

In affirming that God is not a being, l've certainly held off idolatry, but have l left us thereby in an intellectual lurch doomed simply to remain silent about God?

Ratzinger begins with the observation that finite being as we experience it is marked through and through by intelligibility, by a formal structure that makes it capable of being known by an inquiring mind.

This is because, on the one hand, particular intelligent beings are of a finite nature, and consequently liable to error; and on the other, their nature requires them to be free agents.

There is, then, a prime reason; and laws are the relations subsisting between it and different beings, and the relations of these to one another.

Particular intelligent beings may have laws of their own making, but they have some likewise which they never made.

Before there were intelligent beings, they were possible; they had therefore possible relations, and consequently possible laws. Before laws were made, there were relations of possible justice.
