Mencius says, " Anyone who does not recognize the handsomeness of Zidu must have no eyes." That saying referred to this man.

Not to mention other historical figures, within the Confucian school itself, there were Mencius and Xunzi in the pre-Qin period, and Zhu Xi, Cheng Yi, and Cheng Hao in the Southern Song Dynasty.
