Larix kaempferi Carr. seedlings were more photophilic and had strong photosynthetic capacity, which were not prone to photoinhibition,while Larix gmelinii Rupr. seedlings were more shade-tolerant.
Among the five antitranspirants, antitranspirant F1 had the least inhibition effect while antitranspirant F5 had the greatest inhibition effect on the decrease of leaf water potential.
The results showed that the levels of arginine and arginase were the highest in cotyledons, which decreased slowly during plant development, followed by leaves and stems, with roots being the lowest.
