Superoxide dismutase(SOD) in eggs can inhibit the photoreduction of nitro-blue tetrazolium (NBT).Thisreaction can be used to quantitatively determine the enzyme activities of SOD.
It affects a protein called NRF2, which moves into the DNA, binds to the DNA, and then the DNA spits out the instructions for catalase, superoxide dismutase, and glutathione.
