In the liquor of acetic acid, the catalyzed synthesis of m-chlorobenzoic acid by the reaction of m-chlorobenzal dehyde and potassium bromate was studied.
The results indicated that compared with potassium bromate, GOD has a strong effect on denaturing the wheat flour protein and in addition, excessive GOD might result in overoxidation.
Based on the catalytic effect of thiocyanate on the oxidation of alizarine red by potassium bromate,a new catalytic spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace thiocyanate was developed.
