China will see 70% of its major manufacturing firms basically digitalized and networked by 2025, according to a development plan on smart manufacturing.
Digitalized cultural works will have digital certificates to show the exclusive ownership of the collector and traceability can effectively protect the rights of the creators.
We are gonna be in this environment in this new world where so much is digitalized that both state and non-state actors are going to have the capacity to disrupt our lives in all sorts of ways.”
The plan, issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other departments on Tuesday, also states that all of China's manufacturing firms above a designated size will be digitalized and connected by 2035.
Currently, over 700,000 cultural relics have been digitalized in the Palace Museum, and basic digitalization is being promoted and accelerated in an orderly manner with 70,000 to 80,000 pieces being digitalized each year.
