Site soils in southern area of Jiangsu province belong to washland sediment or limnetic facies sediment.The components of sediment are very complex and process of sedimentation is in disorder.

苏区场土主要为漫滩相、湖沼相冲湖相新近沉积软弱土,结构散,沉积零乱,成分复杂,饱水可液化粉细砂层及粉土层较为发育,在动力荷载的作用下有可能发生软土陷砂土液化。
