Merge simply says that two mental objects can be merged into a bigger one, and mental operations can be performed on that as if it were a single one.

As an object of experience, I belong to the sensible world.

Exactly, exactly. And this is this notion of object permanence.

The object then does, in this sense, exist. The fact is, however, that it exists as a particular object because of your intimate construction of it into a particular pattern, and because of the recognition you give it.

And this leads to a problem! The relationship between a subject and an object unfolds through a model, also called a mediator - who desires the same things.

'To keep track of something' has two different meanings actually, depending on whether that something is a physical object or it's information.

“To keep track of something”

And so we become painfully aware of ourselves as objects of other people's worlds rather than being free subjects of our own.

Until most recently he would not admit the existence of anything unless he could objectify it.

This development was an advancement, yet this advancement led also to a separation and objectifying of consciousness, into dual segments of subject and object.

We touched briefly on this when I spoke of objectifying.

Outward extensions of the self can be more clearly objectified, the concentration at the outward extensions being less, and identity correlations being kept in more concentrated areas within the boundaries of the physical self.

Man has always feared what he could not objectify.

Those things, those realities which were most intimately connected with himself, those realities which he could not objectify and hold in his hands, he feared.

He has always attempted to objectify, to separate whatever realities he could from himself, to hold them in his hands, so to speak, so that he could observe and study them.

“Health insurance” is the direct object and “employees” is the indirect object.

" I hit myself." I am the subject, I am also the object.

One of these is a subject, and one of them is an object.

And the sense of subject-object dualism is less pronounced.

" tell" . " I told" -- tell and told. So we'll put " told" here because it's the same thing, really. Past tense, just like " said" is here, right? " I told him." Right? Subject and object.

The object might exist without the thought, but not the thought without the object: the three elements of act, content and object are all required to constitute the one single occurrence called " thinking of St. Paul's" .
