American officials say they've made their first check of the hard hit northern islands and the U.S. Coast Guard says it's rescued more than 400 people so far.
The U.S. Coast Guard had rescued its 10 crew members in another part of the Atlantic in 2018, the storm Dennis is believed to have carried it across the ocean.
It would start with guards being employed to make sure people keep their distance, but in the long term these new jobs could come from developing new technology to track everyone.
