《最强英音》
「最强英音」系列我一直希望写下去，
因为这些都是绝好的英音典范。
我有责任掘地三尺，将他们挖出来分享给伙伴们，
让大家可以有更多的英音素材用于平时的练习。
今天我来和大家说说Charles Edwards。他参加的电影并不多，有记录的是1999的Mansfield Park。在之后曾经有过几次两三年没有影视作品的间隙，相关的作品也不不是爆款。最近几年，参加了几部知名度较高的作品，比如《唐顿庄园》电视剧中的Michael Gregson，《王冠》第三第四季中的伊丽莎白的私人秘书Martin Charteris，以及最近刚刚结束的爆款《指环王：力量之戒》中打造这些戒指的精灵族工匠Celebrimbor（凯勒布林博）。
虽然在大众媒体上的露脸机会不多，但是他常年致力于戏剧表演，在舞台上参加了很多莎翁名著的演出，比如《第12夜》、《无事生非》、《威尼斯商人》、《仲夏夜之梦》等等。这使得他在口音的精准控制力上相当出众。今天和大家一起分享的这段采访，是在口语即兴的环境下完成，通篇反映出良好的发音习惯。
视频的内容是Charles Edwards简单介绍自己出演的角色，以及面对之前Peter Jackson的电影版《指环王》，电视剧方面会有哪些亮点等。这部电视剧可以说是耗费巨资，据说已经安排了5季。原著党们则对其褒贬不易。电视剧中的故事情节（可能是涉及到版权）进行了微调，无法按照原著的情节进行拍摄。在故事中凯勒布林博是力量众戒的打造者，但这个过程是在伪装成美男的索伦的帮助和建议下，而且精灵三戒是在矮人六戒和人类九戒之后凯勒布林博独立完成的，因此没有受到索伦的污染。电视剧中则直接变成最早完成的，且都被索伦触碰过原材料。托尔金的故事实在精彩，哪怕是其中的点滴情节都充满着细节，Charles Edwards应该会在第二季中继续出演。

Could you just start with a brief introduction what can audiences expect from this new series and particularly from our character. Audiences can expect an unparalleled piece of television. I’ve been blown away by the first two episodes of it. The care and the diligence and love that have gone into the making of this from every single department that will work at the very top of the game. It is a staggering thing to witness particularly in cinema. Get a big telly I would advise that. And from my character he is a jewel smith who is at a sort of crossroads in his creative life. And he feels he has something more to prove. The only weight of responsibility one feels is to Tolkien. As one does, when you do a play or you want to honour the writer’s vision, that’s the key thing. We are in a very different time in our show than we were in Peter Jackson’s movies with 3000 years earlier. His is a very different world. The stories, the 3rd Age that his films concentrated on is very very different in all kinds of ways. Ours is much more vibrant living world.
