When an interviewer starts their interview with you, chances are they might start with a little bit of small talk.
They might ask you how your day is going, they might ask you how traffic was.
But then they'll get into the most common and the most important interview question and that question is "can you tell me about yourself?" Now, there are a few different variations of this question, but I'm going to show you an approach that'll work for any variation.
They may start with "walk me through your resume", they may start with "what do you want to major in", they may start with "what motivates you".
These are all essentially the same question and here's what they're looking for.
They're looking for somebody who has passion.
They want students to come to their University that are going to get excited about something.
They're also looking for people who want to get results and who show they have a history of getting results.
So, I'll show you how to answer that in just a second.
And then finally, they want people who have direction.
