Hey, congratulations to all the young people across this country who are heading to college this fall. particularly those of you who are the first in your families to pursue your higher education.
I am so proud of you because as a first-generation college graduate myself.
I know it isn't easy to get to this point.
Back when I first arrived at college, I had plenty of moments of anxiety and doubt.
I struggled to find my community, choose my classes.
I didn't even know what right size sheets to put on my bed.
But before long, I started to hit my stride.
I discovered subjects I was passionate about.
I made friends I loved.
