"Tom, Tom, where are you?"

Aunt Polly looked under the bed. As she did, a small boy jumped out of the closet.

"What were you doing there?" asked Aunt Polly.

"Nothing, Aunt," answered Tom.

"You were eating jam again, weren't you?" said Aunt Polly.

"Oh, look behind you, Aunt," said Tom.

Aunt Polly turned around, but there was nothing behind her.

When she turned back, she saw Tom running away.
