We were a normal family.

A young couple who had dreams of trying to impact the world and my husband just happened to be elected president and we had to kind of, adjust.

When we came into the White House, we were living on the south side of Chicago in our house with our neighbours.

And the whole thing just kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger, and you're just trying to live your life through all this weirdness.

That is your husband's rise but we were always ourselves.

That's one of the things I said during the course of the last campaign as a hopeful reminder to our voters in the US.

That the presidency doesn't change who you are, it reveals who you are.

I'm sure it was covered in diamonds and a crown and, you know, you sort of look and go:"all of that is real"!
