《最强英音》
「最强英音」系列我一直希望写下去，
因为这些都是绝好的英音典范。
我有责任掘地三尺，将他们挖出来分享给伙伴们，
让大家可以有更多的英音素材用于平时的练习。
今天我来和大家说说Kenneth Branagh。这可真是一位地道的斜杠男神：演员、导演、编剧、电影制片人等等。这些还不算什么，2015年担任了自己母校英国皇家戏剧学院的校长。他出演的角色众多，近几年就有《敦刻尔克》、《东方列车谋杀案》、《哈利波特》等，实在数不过来，不少都属于自导自演。另外还专心导演了《雷神》、《灰姑娘》等大片。他获奖无数，仅大不列颠奖就被提名过五次，是唯一一位在五个大类中都被提名的。因为杰出的贡献，被封为骑士头衔。
Kenneth Branagh出生在很普通的工薪家庭，在贝尔法斯特出生。为了躲避动荡，后来全家移民去了英国。在读书时期，为了不受人嘲弄，学习和养成了一口标准的英式口音(RP)。这也为他后来大量参演莎士比亚巨作打好了扎实的基础。

他在年轻时，自导自演的《亨利五世》至今仍然是经典。他成名作几乎都是莎翁的名著，这样的积累也让他能够在离2012年英国伦敦奥运会开幕式仅有三星期时临危受命，在没有屏幕题词器和耳麦辅助下，完成了背诵朗诵莎士比亚诗篇的现场直播。

Kenneth Branagh talks about responsibility on Cinderella
I felt a great sense of responsibility that very very young viewers would come to this film and so there’s a chance to show a kind of example of how you think life might be lived or as Cinderella.
We discover things it could be lived if you believe in courage and if you believe in kindness and if you believe in those things as expressions of strength not weakness.
So, my approach was partly to really take that challenge to have a chance of making an impression on a younger audience that you have a unique privilege and responsibility to do in a story that can both entertain but also illuminate at the key moments in their lives.
The film partly deals with the loss of parents and that’s an important thing, and a difficult thing. And it’s a sensitive issue to handle inside a film like this but it was one of the things that attracted me there was a chance to do that with compassion and with some complexity and with layered performances and so that human element…the human and the humane element was what I wanted to try and find right at the heart of Cinderella.
