The Rabbit and His Ears This story is by the Greek writer Aesop. This story teaches us about being safe.
Lion is big and strong. He is scary! Lion is eating a goat for dinner.
"Ouch!" roars lion. "This goat has horns! I don't like horns!" "No more horns!" roars lion. "All animals with horns must go! he says.
"What? Leave? Where will we go?" says Grandpa Goat.
"We cannot leave our homes!" says Mama Goat.
"Go! This is your last day here!" roars Lion. All the animals with horns are sad.
"Goodbye!" they say to their friends. "Goodbye!" they say to their homes.
All of the animals with horns go away. Rabbit does not have to go away.
Rabbit has big ears, but no horns! That night, Rabbit can't sleep.
He thinks and thinks about Lion. "Lion is so big and scary!" thinks Rabbit.
