I am one of the marshals for the class of 2016.
And I have the honor of introducing Professor Annette Gordon-Reed to all of you before she gives us her last lecture.
Annette Gordon-Reed is the Carol K. Pforzheimer Professor at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study.
She's also the Charles Warren Professor of American Legal History at Harvard Law School and a Professor of History at Harvard University.
She received the 2009 Pulitzer Prize in History for The Hemingses of Monticello, An American Family.
She is also a recipient of the MacArthur Fellowship, National Organization for Women, in New York City's Women of Power and Influence.
Whoa, that's big.
She was also elected as a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2011 and is a member of the Academy's Commission on the Humanities and Social Sciences.
She has been said by so many of her students to be a powerful mentor and an inspiration.
