I'm here in Glasgow, Scotland.

My third day at the climate conference.

Lots of announcements, lots of panels and all pretty exciting.

What I'm seeing now that wasn't part of the COP six years ago is a huge commitment to innovation.

Realizing that we've got to make things in new ways and make it cheap enough that not just the rich countries can get involved, but all the countries, which is the only way you get to zero.

I'm also seeing a deep engagement from the private sector.

I'm pleased that adaptationthat is, helping minimize the damage done by the temperature riseso that adaptation agenda is getting good focus.

Particularly the developing countries; the farmer whose crops are not going to do as well unless we improve their seeds pretty dramatically.

You can say that even the commitments here are not enough, but the improvement, particularly in the private sector and with innovation and adaptation, if we keep that up, I'd be fairly optimistic that we can meet this challenge.

We still have a lot to do.
