The Serengeti super pride welcomes new members.

Barely 2 months old, they emerge from their den.

Soon, other cubs begin to appear.

They begin to learn their place inside the pride.

For now, they remain blissfully unaware of the many dangers outside the pride.

Plentiful prey has triggered and sustained the super pride.

Strong pride males have defended them for over a year and a half.

And this year's migration could allow the super pride to grow even bigger but keeping the cubs alive to maturity is the ultimate goal.

If they die, the adults's efforts will have been in vain

Typically, only 1/4 of Serengeti lion cubs get to adulthood.
