This is another episode of Aussie Slang, the series of short episodes where I try and introduce you to a different word or phrase in Aussie slang every single week.
So, today I'm going to be teaching you the expression "airy fairy".
And this is a nice one. I think it's if something is airy, I guess it's that it's hard to pin down, right.
It's kind of all over the place. It's a little bit airy.
And I would imagine without having done my research thoroughly, I would imagine we've just used "fairy" as well because it rhymes.
Okay, so if something is "airy fairy", you could use this to mean that something is fancy.
So, I went to an event the other night. There were a lot of rich people there.
They were really posh. It was very fancy.
