Hi everyone. I just have a short video for you here on the pronunciation of the word "schedule" (SKedule) or "schedule" (SHedule).
I'd just like to point out, in case you haven't seen any of my videos before, that I'm Australian, but I don't have a strong Australian accent.
I know that it's caused a bit of confusion.
My accent is what one might call quite "neutral", and my pronunciation, I'll say it again, is quite close to British pronunciation.
But now let's look at this word.
In standard American English, it's pronounced: "/ˈskedʒuːl/".
In British English, it's: "/ˈʃedjuːl/ ".
In Australia, I actually think it's more common to say "/ˈskedʒuːl/", which is a bit strange because normally we follow British rules.
But occasionally there are exceptions, and I, in any case, normally say "/ˈskedʒuːl/".
So if you're learning English, either one of these is correct.
