Hey there I'm Emma from mmmEnglish. Time is important.

We think about it, we talk about it many, many times a day, right from that moment you first wake up in the morning. Now, of course, we have lots of different ways to express time in English, specific collocations, fixed expressions and phrasal verbs that help you to express different relationships to time.

Today we're going to cover twenty-four useful expressions to help you talk about time, when you've got enough of it, or heaps of it, not enough of it. We'll also talk about some expressions that will help you to pass time and ask for more time, as well as some extra bonus idioms and expressions to help you express yourself clearly.

So we've got a lot to get through today. We're going to move quickly.

If you've got any questions at all, make sure you add them into the comments below so that I can answer them for you. Let's get started!

Right now I'd like to spare a little bit of time for our wonderful friends at Lingoda who've been busy getting ready for their next big event, the ninety-day Lingoda Language Sprint. If you haven't registered yet, you've still got time because the closing date for registrations has been extended until the 26th of June.

Now you can get all the details about how it works and find out how you can get a one hundred percent refund on your class fees by checking out this video up here. Of all the places that you can learn a language online Lingoda are, in my opinion, one of the best.

Anyone who watches my channel regularly knows that I've taken plenty of Spanish classes with Lingoda myself and I've also spent some time exploring the English curriculum and teaching methods. As a teacher, what I love about Lingoda is the clear structure of their lessons.

You always know what you need to do next and you're always working your way towards your next certification. If you're interested in private one-to-one lessons, you can take those with Lingoda.

But if you prefer to learn in small groups and meet other people, well you can take group classes as well. All of Lingoda's classes are delivered by native teachers and each one is live, it's interactive so you can participate and there are classes available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
