Welcome to New Draw My Life video. Diana of Themyscira, better known as Wonder Woman, is a superhero in the DC Comics Marvel universe.
She first appeared in All Star Comics #8, in December 1941. She was created by the author William Moulton Marston, a psychologist.
With the help of his wife Sadie and Olive Byrne, he created a heroine with the strength of Superman and all the charms of an independent woman. Diana is the daughter of the God Zeus and the queen of the Amazons, Hippólyta.
She was trained in different combat styles. She showed a great talent since she was very little, which called Ares' attention,
and he decided to become her master and make her the most skilled woman in her tribe. She lived with her mom in the Paradise Island, inhabited by thousands of warrior women known as the Amazons.
It's a matriarchal society, there is no men in it. Apparently, Diana is the only Amazon born in the island – the rest of them were guided there by the old Greek Gods.
As a princess, Diana was raised under the culture of the old greek warriors, but also under the culture and knowledge that a princess, a future queen, should have.
Years later, the Amazonas had an unexpected visit. The colonel Steve Trevor, member of the US Air Forces, finds himself immersed in a storm during a mission.
Suddenly, he saw a golden light, and when he was heading towards it, he hit the Paradise Island. Princess Diana went back to America with Trevor.
Once she was there, Diana was watched over by the US Government, trying to integrate her in the society and have her learn as much as possible about their culture, but also to find out how the existence of the island had remained a secret for centuries.
