In the ancient sand swept lands of Egypt long before the pyramids were raised or the first pharaoh wore a crown, the people were ruled by the god Osiris and he was a just king as wise as he was benevolent and handsome.

He taught the people the arts of civilization and agriculture, causing what could have been an endless golden age for Egypt.

But alas, all too soon the god was going to die twice. Osiris wasn't just good at ruling. He was born for it.

His father was Geb, god of the earth, and his mother was Newt, goddess of the sky. Yeah, his family tree was pretty impressive.

It stretched all the way back to Ra, the god of the sun, king of all deities.

Although really it was more of a family bush because a lot of these gods got married to their siblings, but you get my drift. And in that way Osiris was no different.

He chose his sister Isis as queen, and together they ruled Egypt into a golden age, and while all of his subjects loved Osiris, his brother Seth absolutely did not, though no one's exactly sure why Set hated Osiris as much as he did.

Some say it was simple jealousy, after all, Set was born of the same godly lineage, so why was Osiris green and like super handsome while Seth was part um, what animal is that anyway? Like Aardvark meets donkey?

I don't even know.

Another theory suggests that when Nephthiss, Set sister wife, gave birth to the jackal headed god Anubis, Set accused Osiris, yeah, you know, the green skinned guy, this kid looked nothing like of an affair.
