I am so excited to be here in the Big House with all of you to celebrate you, the class of 2022. Now let me be honest. Initially, I said no to the request to be your speaker.
I said I had a scheduling conflict, and that I was already planning to be here next Saturday for my son Christopher's graduation.
He was part of the class of 2020, the only class in Michigan history to not have a graduation ceremony, thank you, COVID, but now, finally, his class will have their own moment to shine here next Saturday.
So, yes, I said I couldn't possibly come to Ann Arbor two weeks in a row that just felt overwhelming.
Like so many, I struggle to keep up with all the demands that life throws at you, but then Coach Harbaugh emailed me.
